Woman charged after three killed in city road crash

A WOMAN has been charged with negligent driving causing deaths and dangerous driving causing injuries after three people died and five were injured when the vehicle she was driving tumbled opposite the Sir Manasupe Haus in Waigani, Port Moresby.
The accident occurred on Aug 4 at 4am.
“The driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle over-turned three times and claimed the lives of three people,” officer in charge of Boroko Traffic Unit, Senior Inspector Joseph Salle, said.
He said the driver, Lorraine Kwarara, was arrested, charged and locked up at the Boroko Police Station cell.
Salle said people died instantly at the scene.
They were John Nouairi and Frederick Kwarara Todi, the son of the driver. Another woman died later at Port Moresby General Hospital.
They were all from Gabagaba village, in Central.
