A WOMEN’s advocate is calling on political leaders of Jiwaka to deliver basic services to rural areas.
Kimil Women’s Association president Maria Kek said such basic services would change the lifestyle of rural people for the better.
Kek is the daughter of the late Mek Korgs, former chief of the North Waghi and Kulaka
tribe.
She told a ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of water supply and a Lutheran church building at Olna, in Middle Jimi, last Friday that mandated Jiwaka leaders, past and present, had done little to recognise and address problems experienced by rural people.
