Woman’s body found along road in city

Motorists along Poreporena Freeway in Port Moresby found the body of a middle-aged woman on the road at 6am on Saturday.
Port Moresby police station commander Max Dogme said the death of the woman could not have been caused by a traffic accident.
He said she could have been killed by someone and her body thrown on the road.
Police identified the woman to be from Gulf and in her 40s.
Dogme said the matter was now with the criminal investigation team.
The body is now in Port Moresby General Hospital morgue. Dogme urged relatives of the woman to come forward to assist police.
