Woman’s decomposed body found, police want her identified

POLICE have found a decomposed body in Port Moresby and want anyone missing a female relative or friend to report it to them, Police Forensic Services director Chief Supt Philip Rambaliku says.
“The body was badly decomposed, initially it was hard to identify the gender,” he said.
“We managed to identify it to be a female after noticing the bra attached to the chest.
“We found the body along a bush track between the Bush Wara settlement at 9-Mile and Jackson Airport at 7-Mile.
“We are now calling on relatives to go and report to the homicide section at the Boroko police station of a missing female relative.”
Chief Supt Rambaliku said yesterday that they believed that the body had decomposed after a week.
“She must have been abducted elsewhere, raped and killed,” he said.
“The suspects must have brought the body here to this area and dumped her.
“In fact, her body wasn’t dumped along the track.
“It was dumped inside the bush.
“But the dogs ate the body and dragged it out to the track,” Chief Supt Rambaliku said.
He said the decomposed body was found by people yesterday morning.
The people then alerted the police forensic unit.
“We went there and collected the body,” Chief Supt Rambaliku said.
“We have to collect a blood sample to do DNA testing.”

  • YESTARDAY WE ALL WENT THERE AND SAW THE ROTTEN BODY AND CALL THE AMBULANCE AND POLICE TO COME.
AFTER A MINUTES POLICE AND AMBULANCE TOOK THE BODY TO MOGS.
WE ALL FELL SORRY FOR HER…

  • How can anyone not report her disappearance? Maybe relatives thought she was somewhere else all this time while she was lying dead in those bushes. May God punish those who took her life!

  • so sad indeed. we curse the life takers and pray that their lives shall not live long too. they should die like her.

  • Well, if she is a Prostitute, then most cases in relation to them don’t get reported.
Even their own families don’t want to bring the case up with the authorities about the missing person.
Em sem Pasin olsem na ol save larim olsem tasol.

  • It’s a curse to those involved in her killing. The big question now is; can the police identify and capture the criminals? This is serious. Criminals are now going around in vehicles and killing recklessly. This is very inhumane.
Police must conduct check ups on any vehicles roaming around the streets at night. That’s the time they go around hunting for victims.
