NK Nomads Women Rugby Union club has boosted its premiership campaign for 2014 with new uniforms – courtesy of the only fashion and shoeshop in Mendi town, Lavies Boutique.

The gesture by boutique owner Yvonne Joseph was timely as the lasses from North Kagua Street in Mendi prepare to play Blacks in the grand final at Momei Oval tomorrow.

After seventeen rounds of matches, the association is gearing up for a successful end to its inaugural season.

The first game will see NK Nomads will take on Blacks while KQL Reds takes Silverblacks.

The winners will play for the Cup while the loosers from both matches will play for the Plate.

The fifth- and sixth-placed teams will play for the Bowl.

The six-team women’s rugby union competition has a fair following apart from the Digicel franchise Mendi Muruks.

NK Nomads Tere Rema said the six teams currently in the competition are KQL Reds, NK Nomards, Olco Harlequins, Silverbacks, Blacks and Pagahill Partoons.
