Women benefit from trade show

 A TRIP by seven women from the PNG Women-In-Business to a trade show in Indonesia has exposed them to many business opportunities, women leader Janet Sape says.

Sape, the organisation’s founder and director, said the trip was a fact-finding mission to look for business opportunities and make contacts with partners in Indonesia.

“We made friends with the Indonesian Business Women’s Association which has more than 40,000 members,” she said.

She said it was a successful trip because they were able to establish contacts with many business friends. Sape encouraged businesses partners there to consider PNG and the Pacific as a prospective business destination.

“I had a chance to speak during the expo. Indonesians are keen to expand  their economy and compete with big economies.”
