Women host Christmas party for settlement children

Main Stories

HUNDREDS of children from settlements in Port Moresby enjoyed a Christmas party on Saturday – thanks to five women who wanted to give them a Christmas treat and cheer.
The five women were led by Lady Nee Cragnolini.
“We hosted this party for under-privileged children because no one will feed them during Christmas,” she said.
“We want them to have the same treatment as privileged children to celebrate (Christmas).”
Food and gifts were distributed to the children.  Lady Nee said they started hosting the party three years ago.
She praised the support of Graffiti Signs, Pro Clean, Digicel, Black Swan, the Cancer Foundation, TCM, Paradise Food, the Chinese community, Women on the Move and other business houses. National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop said children needed good food and education to become good leaders.
He attended the event with Moresby South MP Justin Tkatchenko at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium.
