Women in jail receive Mother’s Day gifts

WOMEN inmates at Buimo Jail in Lae received early Mother’s Day gifts on Friday from Huon Gulf Hotel and Prima Smallgoods.
The hotel presented three jumbo pizzas while Prima Smallgoods donated a carton of sausages and pork chops.
On Thursday, Nestles (PNG) gave small gifts to the women prisoners.
Buimo administration manager Judy Tara said it was unfortunate that the women prisoners were not with their families yesterday.
She thanked Huon Gulf Hotel and Prima for their donations.
Tara said the women were mothers of children, but unfortunately, could not be with their children, husbands and family members for Mother’s Day.
“We say thank you to God for opening doors for our friends to come in and visit us at a very special time,” she said.
“That is how God works in miraculous ways to provide for us.”
