Women leaders just as capable

IT would be ridiculous and absurd to agree with the proposal for reserved seats for women. It is discriminatory by nature as mentioned by the governor of Eastern Highlands earlier this week in one of our dailies. Do not forget that you are a living testimony who has to prove to others that women I PNG are competent and are just as capable to run in a male-dominated race or election, and in fact, win the election. So, why not encourage other women to do likewise? Reserving seats for women is not fair or democratic. Women MPs are setting a precedence to prove to the people that women are more than capable of being elected as MPs by making better decisions than men and can care for their electorates better than their male colleagues. That way, the people will hold you in high esteem and allow more women to enter politics.
