League president Samson Metofa believes in promoting gender equality for women and young girls in human resource.
He said, in the past, Morata did not focus on developing women’s rugby league but this season was different.
“We are going to focus on developing women’s rugby league as a feeder competition to Kone Tigers and other Port Moresby clubs,” Metofa said.
He said there was a lot of raw talents waiting to be identified and developed.
“I encourage representatives players like the Papua New Guinea Orchids to join teams to help develop the competition for future players,” Metofa said.
“This is the area that really needs to be developed in order for players to be identified and developed for the future.”
