Work with students, Agiru

Letters, Normal

I REFER to SHP Governor Anderson Agiru’s apology to the prime minister and PNG spurred on by the stone throwing incident in Tari during the launch of the Hela Transitional Authority.
Agiru told tertiary students from Hela not to resort to violence.
I want to remind people that these Hela students are the eyes, ears and voice for the marginalised, haves not and disadvantaged Helas.
I am sure the students may have had some genuine points with regard to the LNG project and the creation of the proposed Hela province.
They will be Hela’s backbone and no one can dispute that.
Agiru should consider them as his lieutenants to propel Hela forward to be part of the world.
To develop Hela is a mammoth task and needs all stakeholders’ commitment and input.
This is the only way forward and a stepping stone for progress.
