THE Catholic archdiocese of Mendi, Southern Highlands, is continuing to work with its funders to rebuild infrastructure destroyed by the 2018 earthquake in Hela.
Kuman Construction manager Jerry Otto said yesterday that under the church recovery programme, the company completed building the Catholic health and education secretaries’ office at Kupari parish, Tari-Pori, Hela.
He said many of the church’s properties in Southern Highlands and Hela were destroyed during the 8.5 magnitude earthquake that struck Hela and Southern Highlands.
Otto said Hela came under the Mendi archdiocese.
He said the new building would allow the Catholic health and education offices to serve the people in Hela.
Otto said the company’s aim was to complete work on time, according to the scope and design.
He said he was satisfied because they had completed the project for the church.
