The National, Tuesday 26th March 2013

I CONDEMN the actions of the people in Sigri who accused John Wisil of sorcery over the death of LLG president Thomas Dorum Mek and allegedly killed him and dumped his body into the Waghi River.

Such action is uncalled for as most of the people living in that area claim to be faithful Christians.

I call on Banz police commander Billy Kombul and the provincial police commander to carry out a full investigation and arrest those responsible for the death of the old man.

If the community does not cooperate with the police, then arrest all the Sigri leaders and lock them up.

Such killing of innocent people for alleged sorcery must stop as there is no proof.

Only God can take away lives, not humans.
