Yei was named as man of the match for his efforts at the Oil Search National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
“I want to be like my older brother McKenzie,” Yei said.
“I want follow in his footsteps to the SP Hunters and hopefully play in the Queensland Intrust Super Cup.”
The Western Highlands native said it was his second season with the Petroleum Resources Kutubu-sponsored side.
Yei said he enjoyed playing for the Muruks and was confident in their squad.

“It’s a good club to be part of and I’m grateful,” he said.
“I am confident that we will improve and get better with each game. In round one, we didn’t have our regular halves, Wesley Batari and Milex Wanis, but we still managed to beat Enga Mioks in Lae.”
Yei said Batari and Wanis would only get better as the season progressed. “They had us (forwards) running some good lines and they were really good with their passes,” he said.
“It made it easy for us to play constructively.”
