Yokomo on the hunt for Gazelle at Bisini

YOKOMO are in to spoil the party for Gazelle when they clash in Port Moresby women’s softball competition tomorrow.
The giant killers have been causing havoc for top teams – their latest victim competition leaders Stingerz last weekend.
Yokomo began their new year on a high note holding top team Bears to a draw until succumbing to a one point loss, the following weekend they tamed United Sisters and further denting Stingerz further surge up the points ladder.
Gazelle however also produced an improved batting power against a luckless Wolves side with a 10-nil biting and a fiery battle is expected in this main game on diamond two.
With two more games remaining, newcomers Yokomo stand an outside chance of making the finals but their recent performance speaks for itself – the side a force to be reckoned next season.
Hurler and inform batter Esther Xkenjik will be again tasked to produce a top fielding and batting performance.
Xkenjik will receive backing from Pacific Games train on squad member Siloru Zale, Caroline Moeder, Rosewitta Ire, Del Iwaroi, Leonie Wyatt and Sonia Tamilong.
Gazelle again will depend on Navasha Pilak, Jessica Tonga, Jenny Pilak, Mectil Raymond, Natasha Pilak, Talitha Pondriket and Sylvia Mago to lead the antelopes maintain their winning form.
The points ladder: Stingerz 33, Bears 31, Sisters 28, Gazelle 28, Wantoks 27, Wolves 27, Chebu 26, Yokomo 23, Admiralty 16.
In the other main game clash its top of the table clash when Stingerz come face to face with Bears.
Stingerz after last weekend’s loss will be out to avenge that bitter memory.
Pitcher/catch combination of Selina Karai and Nicky Simba will be out to give Bears Lisa Polum, Nadia Bais, Joyce Inguba, Antonia Kinit, Dianne Bulumaris, Monica Diapong and Talitha Tarasomo the taste of their own medicine.
 Expected to rise up to the occasion would be Stingerz hard trier Tessa Karai and Simba Sisters Dulcie, Trudy and Leno.
In the other matches Wolves take on Admiralty and United Sisters meet Chebu.
