A Sunday school and youth camp aimed at spiritual development of young people will be held at Rumu Primary School in Wampar, Morobe.
Sunday schools and youths from five parishes include St Paul, St Steven, Saking, Nawasi and Daum in Sangan circuit will meet from July 1-5.
Host organising chairman and Rumu Primary School head teacher Yonayong Lima said the camp was initiated in 2010 with an aim to instil spiritual concepts as pillars of self-discipline in young people.
“The camp was purposely to shape young people’s mind, attitudes and behaviour by grooming them with Christian principles to avoid involvements in cult group mentality currently happening in secondary schools that resulted in school fights and deaths,” Lima said.
