ALLOW me to respond adding to Robin Yalambing’s letter.

Although I support your view, I’d like to add that Morobe’s leaders have failed outright with their mandated powers to look into this as they were voted in by these very people now in the ongoing ethnic crisis.

The city youths rallied to get one of their youth leaders be the political head of the city with their big motivation slogan, “Hope for the Hopeless”, which saw the current lord mayor in office.

All youths are very vocal and are behind all the uprising in the city because their youths political achievement is back firing. The youths of the city must see that they had an avenue to address their grievances which was to be with their leader who had their votes and answers with him.

Hope for the Hopeless is now bearing the lack of political foresight, job creation, city policing etc.

An inexperienced youth leader will never deliver as Lord Mayor and that’s a fact. The Morobe national MPs also see him as a youth without proper city development policies that are driven to get participation of all unemployed youths & population in settlements.

Lae MP has also failed with her bio data registration to have youths registered with ID. What has happened the Lae MP?

A lot of  has to be answered by these two leaders.

The good governor of Morobe now is having hard time because of the two mandated political leaders of Lae fail to deliver their promises. There are solutions but leaders have not stood up for us in Lae. Look at Lae Port Basin project the four lane super highway and the old Lae airport the three available prospects completely missed out involving their voters and others who would have benefited to further support them in 2017 / 18.

The youths for youths has no answer but youths for good leaders will bring about some hope for the hopeless.
