Zeming supports institute’s fisheries courses

FISHERIES and Marine Resources Minister Mao Zeming has given K100,000 to the Badili Vocational Community College to support the running of fisheries-related courses there.
Mao said education was important and that the fisheries and marine resources department would continue to support fisheries-related activities in education and other sectors.
College principal Gordon Atawan welcomed the presentation by Zeming.
Atawan said he would assist the teaching of fisheries courses.
The Badili college has been involved with the Kavieng Fisheries College in offering fisheries-related courses since 2013. The schoolteachers various trade skills such as, welding and fabrication, basic fisheries and business studies.
