12 board members take oath to serve people

TWELVE board members of the joint district budget planning and priorities committee (JDBPC) for Moresby South electorate in National Capital District were sworn into the office last week.
Moresby South MP Justin Tkatchenko was also sworn-in as the chairman with two women representatives.
Present to officiate the ceremony was Magistrate Paul Puri Nii who had them read their declarations of loyalty and declaration of office oaths.
Tkatchenko said the board was made up of representatives from each community from urban areas to settlements and villages.
“The committee was established to represent the youth, women, church, settlement, Motu-Koitabuans and the general population in Moresby South.”
