THE Pepsi Motu-Koita West Netball Association concluded its minor semifinals on Saturday as 14 teams vied for a spot in the finals playoff.
The competition has been running since last November and the semifinals are scheduled for Saturday with the grand final the following week.
Association president Kori Toua-Navuru told The National that the objective for the competition was to bring the community together as well as creating an opportunity for local women to sell food, drinks and other products.
“The beauty of playing netball in the community is about mass participation and bringing everyone together,” she said.
“The goal behind this is creating an avenue for mothers and daughters to come and sell and generate an income.”
