1,666 cases in first week of Nov

ONE thousand six hundred and sixty six (1,666) new Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases have been recorded in the first week of November with the total confirmed cases now at 31,479, according to the National Control Centre.
Last Monday, 222 new cases were recorded, followed by 476 on Tuesday, 499 on Wednesday and 277 on Thursday and 192 on Friday.
There were 39 recorded Covid-19 deaths last week: Monday, 18; Tuesday, 7; Wednesday, 14; and, no deaths were recorded on Thursday and Friday.
As of Friday, the total recovered cases was 28,751, and 2,322 cases were diagnosed in the last 21 days. The total deaths as of Friday was 406.
In terms of vaccination, 178,637 people have been vaccinated.
Attempts to get comments from the Pandemic Response deputy controller Dr Daoni Esorom and Health Minister Jelta Wong on the current Covid-19 situation and response in the country were unsuccessful.
