FORTY-four teams are confirmed for tomorrow’s Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited charity golf tournament.
The event at the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club course is to raise money for Life Care PNG.
The initiative sponsored by Kumul Petroleum Holdings is to help raised funds for the organisation that helps poor, homeless and underprivileged children on the streets of Port Moresby.
“It has taken us three months to prepare for the tournament and we are happy to announce that 44 teams have registered for a four-man Ambrose team to take part in the tournament,” tournament consultant Willie Kupo said.
“Most of the participating teams are corporate sponsored and a few individual who believe in the initiative taken by Kumul Petroleum to raise fund for a charity organisation impacting lives of street children in Port Moresby,” he said.
Kumul Petroleum managing director Wapu Sonk commended the organising team on the preparations and thanked corporate houses and individuals who responded to support the cause.
“Life Care PNG is doing a tremendous job by empowering underprivileged children in Port Moresby for a sustainable future through education under the ‘Strongim Pikinini Education’ and mobile education programmes,” Sonk said.
Team registration starts at 8.30am tomorrow and play starts at 10am while the presentation is at 5pm on the same day.
Apart from fielding teams’ sponsors, additional prizes are sponsored, and individuals have donated items for auction.
