WRITS for the by-elections to fill vacant Open seats in Northern’s Sohe and Maprik in East Sepik will be issued on April 24, it has been confirmed. Minister for Administrative Service Richard Masere, who is also assisting the prime minister on constitutional matters, said “preparations by the Electoral Commission for the by-elections in Sohe and Maprik are progressing smoothly”.“We will proceed with the issuing of writs on April 24,” Masere said. “K10.2 million has been allocated according to the plans by the Electoral Commission to conduct both by-elections.”
