HIRI-Koiari MP Keith Iduhu claims that he has been receiving threats and intimidation tactics from an unknown person warning him that his place of residence is known.
“I have written to Police Commissioner David Manning to register a complaint with his office and the cybercrime unit for appropriate investigation and prosecution,” he said.
“This individual simply demonstrates to me the lengths some go to in order to protect those in power and their chokehold on this country. The fact that this individual felt the need to threaten me only goes to show what the Opposition is saying is in fact the reality and resonates with the majority of our citizens.”
The shadow minister for justice said he received the threats on his mobile phone.
“I received a veiled threat from an unknown number warning me and suggesting that they know my place of residence and my family,” he said.
“I understand that other individuals with strong stand against the Government have also received threats from the same number.”
Iduhu said that; “as an elected representative, I am well within my rights to speak out against a government and prime minister which I believe are doing our country more harm than good.”
