Missionaries grateful

Letters

I thank the Government and Immigration and Border Security Minister Petrus Thomas for lifting the visa ban on missionaries from North America. They are now free to travel to Papua New Guinea to continue with their mission.
Our pioneer missionaries, including those from the Catholic and SDA churches, had dedicated their lives to serve the people of Enga, Hela, Southern Highlands and West and East Sepik in some of the wildest cultures and untouched environments. They fearlessly encountered our primitive settings to bring the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ to us. With good news, they built churches, schools, hospitals, health centres, roads and even agriculture and livestock farms to serve the communities. The current missionaries are still doing these in some of our remotest areas where our own government officers cannot even go to deliver basic services. Thank you.
