This is the pool at the grounds of Parliament in Waigani, Port Moresby. Right now, it doesn’t look nice.
The water has been drained, with the expectation that the rubbish will be cleaned and the pool refilled.
The pool has been one of the beautiful settings there but, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and right now there is not much to behold.
Parliament House is not only a part of this country’s existence, it is also an attraction that visitors, especially overseas tourists, like to see.
It is therefore important that every facility and tourist attraction there is maintained and kept in pristine condition.
As for this pool, it would be better if someone is made responsible for its upkeep and maintenance. Parliament House is a national treasure.
Let’s keep it that way.
