Committee’s action on Kase, applauded

I THANK the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) for questioning the Health secretary Pascoe Kase on the widespread medicinal drug shortages experienced around the country.
The prolonged lack of essential drugs in many of our aid post, health centres and hospitals in the country has resulted in many preventable deaths, especially for our women and children.
This current medical drug supply system is a failure and a national disgrace.
How long will our people suffer under the leadership of an incompetent Health secretary and the government of the day sitting by and doing nothing while our people continue to die and suffer?
