Christmas time
Would you believe it but it is only 94 days to Christmas. We not sure if Santa will indeed make the worldwide trip on Christmas Eve. The Covid-19 might also affect his travel with the current border restrictions.
Name change
From a reader: “I was told these are some new names going around: Brisbane Snails (so slow, takes them up to 80 minutes to get into gear, or Brisbane Camels (when they play, they all just wander around the ground).”
No profanity
There should be a heavy fine or 10 minutes in the bin for NRL players mouthing the F-word when they make a mistake on the field. Children are also watching.
No spitting
And the spitting by players must stop too. It sets a bad example for the children watching.
Flipping bird
It’s called “flipping the bird” when you raise your middle finger at someone, like what Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy did to his captain Cameron Smith when he scored against the West Tigers on Saturday, beating Bellamy’s record of 46 tries.
Fly tipping
You are “fly-tipping” when you dump rubbish illegally, mostly in vacant land or unused public places.
Food for thought
Some people think that the grass is greener somewhere else but they forget that grass is green when you water it, wherever you are.
Top quote
“Fight for the things you care about, but do it in a way you will lead others to join you.” – The late US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg (1933-2020).
