Why give K500,000 for a by-election?

Letters

IT is disappointing that the National Capital District Commission has committed K500,000 to the Electoral Commission to conduct the by-election in Moresby North West.
This money should have been used to fix the deteriorated road in Wildlife and 8-Mile roads, from the first to the last block in 8-Mile.
Why did city hall give that amount of money to the Electoral Commission?
A lot of areas in the nation’s capital need that money for better services instead of trying to fulfill one man’s desire.
Governor Powes Parkop, are you blind?
Are you campaigning for your son contesting in the by-election?
Every day, we talk about the deteriorating road conditions at Wildlife and 8-Mile but you seem to turn a blind eye on this issue.
We have asked Moresby North East MP John Kaupa to do something but he too has gone into hibernation.
Now, upon seeing your office committing K500,000 to the Electoral Commission, it has prompted us to write to express our discontentment about your action.
People who deserve the services are left to fend for themselves.
We ask your office and Kaupa to listen to our cries and fix these roads.

Your Voters,
Pom
