THERE is room in Lae for businesses to operate even on a small scale, according to MP Loujaya Toni.
Toni, the minister for Youth, Religion and Community Development, made the statement while launching the Indigenous Business Council logo last Saturday in Lae.
She also promised to seek the national government’s assistance to fund small businesses.
“I will do a proposal to the national government for funding as the IBC is a national institution for every Papua New Guinean,” Toni said.
IBC president Sir Nagora Bogan said one of the organisation’s tasks was to negotiate with financial institutions to access funds, facilitate and build networks.
