Abolish use of birth control

Letters

PAPUA New Guinea should abolish the use of birth control contraceptives and allow the population to grow at a faster rate.
We should reach 10 to 15 million by the end of this decade.
An increase in population is also good for the economy.
Presumably, 70 per cent of the land of PNG remains uninhabited and we are still few in number.
But yet the government is curbing an increase in the rate of population growth by promoting use of birth control.
Instead, the government should continue free education, hand out rations and encourage mechanised farming in communities to alleviate poverty and allow the population to grow.
