Accommodation opens for nursing students

LAE School of Nursing (LSN) students will now have a good place to stay and carry out practical training in Morobe after the opening of a new accommodation facility in Markham on Wednesday.
The newly-built duplex for the students is stationed at Mutzing government station along the Highlands Highway.
LSN acting principal Pauline Bomareo highlighted that the project took almost six years (since 2016) to complete due to funding issues.
It was a challenging task for the LSN administration to go about completing the project.
Bomareo said in reference to the institution’s priorities and policy to focus on its infrastructures, developments and integral human development, all depended on the availability of funding and how well the project was executed with proper monitoring and evaluation.
She said the major concern was the intellectual development of a person through the provision of quality training with better institutional training facilities which would enable and facilitate better learning.
“Most people do not know how the nursing profession operates,” she said.
