Accused pretender

A MAN appeared in the Waigani Committal Court charged with obtaining money by false pretences.
The allegation was that Coli Poto, 32, of Tulire village in Kagua, Southern Highlands, was pretending to be a gold seller and took K2,550 from Michael Brown on April 28 and July 1.
Brown and his relatives cornered him at a shopping centre at 2-Mile and took him to the Hohola Police Station.
Magistrate Wilmot remanded him in custody and adjourned the matter to Nov 21.
