Address continuous blackouts in Goroka

WE, the consumers of electricity supplied by PNG Power in Goroka, wish to express our dissatisfaction to the management and staff of the Goroka branch and the national board of directors about the manner in which abrupt blackouts have occurred without prior advice on three occasions in recent weeks lasting well over 24 hours.
The frequent blackouts over the years should already have taught PNG Power technicians and authorities about what to expect and how best to handle situations.
I am certain that numerous electrical goods including expensive items such as compressors, deep freezers and home appliances have been destroyed due to the unpredictable and long blackouts.
What’s even worse is when they don’t warn us so we have time to prepare.
We are celebrating Christmas with a blackout.
