Who do we pay rent to?
CAN Prime Minister James Marape and Housing and Urbanisation Minister Justin Tkatchenko explain to us, the tenants of National Housing Corporation (NHC) flats, what organisation is the rightful firm for us to pay the rentals to?
Currently, there is the NHC and the National Housing Estate Ltd.
NHC is the firm that were are paying rent to while the estate is sending their officers with invoices for the same property with another amount which is much higher for the rundown houses that we’re currently renting and paying for maintenance from our own pockets.
Why are we paying rent to two different firms for the same property?
It is a rip off.
Can the Government give out these houses to the long-term residents to purchase?
The last government disbanded the estate firm but they have resurfaced again with their invoices.
Can Marape and Tkatchenko look into this?

Sounds like the 2 are not talking to each other. The Estate should be the subsidiary of the NHC. They must get their act together and not confuse tenants
