Admin row creates doubt among clubs

A ROW over the administration of the taekwondo governing body has created uncertainty among local clubs following allegations of mismanagement raised by former Olympic coach and manager Edward Kassman.
Kassman had asked for a change in the Taekwondo Papua New Guinea administration, claiming that the governing body had been poorly managed.
“For the last three years, we have been trying to get our federation to set up properly, using our human resources and equipment,” he said.
In response, Taekwondo PNG president John Cholai has brushed aside the claim and questioned Kassman’s track record during his time as an administrator.
Meanwhile, PNG Olympic Committee secretary-general Auvita Rapila has called on both parties to put their differences aside and work together to develop taekwondo in PNG.
