Advocate appointed to authority

HENGANOFI MP Robert Atiayafa has appointed human rights advocate Eriko Fufurefa as the women’s representative on the district development authority’s (DDA) board.
Fufurefa is the director of the Kafe Women’s Association and was instrumental in working with the district administration to end three tribal fights in Henganofi recently.
Atiyafa said her experience in organising community and humanitarian work would be of great help to the DDA.
Also in the board are three local level government presidents Ikana Avoka (Fayantina), Johne Sima (Dunantina) and Kepsy Kebo (Kafetina).
During the announcement Atiyafa also revealed developments plans for the district in the occasion.
He said they also ended tribal fights.
