SOFTBALL affiliates in the country have until the end of the week to nominate or face the disappointment of missing out on participation at this year’s National Softball titles in Kokopo in April.

However, the worst case scenario is defaulting associations depriving their players of representative duties.

PNG Softball president Chris Bais yesterday issued the warning when reminding members to pay the 2014 affiliation fees and the tournament registration fees.

Only two associations, Lae and Port Moresby women’s associations have fulfilled the requirements.

“Associations have until Friday to pay up or pay the price,” Bais said.

Associations yet to pay include Port Moresby men, Kavieng, Buluminski, Madang, Mt Hagen, Tabubil, AROB, Ramu, Goroka, Lihir, Alotau and East New Britain Softball League, which consists of four districts Kokopo, Gazelle, Rabaul and Pomio.

“PNGSF will not tolerate any late payments. Those failing to affiliate will be disqualified to send any of their teams to Kokopo. This means players from these centres will also miss out on the opportunity to represent their country,” Bais warned.

Federation’s treasurer Harry Keket can be contacted on 72176123 to confirm fees and account details.
