AFLPNG are looking to move forward by restructuring its staff and senior and junior development programmes this year and beyond.

Cadzow also took the opportunity to introduce 26-year-old Ben Drew from Brisbane, who will be assisting Cadzow run the AFLPNG office on a regular basis until a new general manager was appointed.
Cadzow said positions would be advertised in the weeks ahead for the general manager, senior development and development managers.
“Ben (Drew) will be running the office and will be the advisor to the general manager on and off for the next six months until the general manager is appointed and finalised.
“We will also assist in the recruitment of the AFLPNG staff and the selections of the AFLPNG players on scholarship.
“We will also be overseeing the capital works at the academy and the arrival of the third academy intakes and the programmes they will be undertaking.”
The former PNG Mosquitoes coach said the start of the academic year for the boys at the AFLPNG academy would also see the start of the Coca-Cola talent pathway programme.
“The talent pathway programme will start on Feb 5 and will be continuing throughout the academic year.
“We will also be looking at the structure and organisation of the senior and junior national development programme,” Cadzow said.
Cadzow said the highlight of the year would be the season launching on Australian Week on March 10.
“There will be friendly match  between the academy and PNG Mosquitoes emerging side to coincide with the Australian Week.
“The launching will be the start of the footy season and planning of training programmes will also start,” Cadzow said.
Drew said he was looking forward to working with the AFLPNG staff and the junior and senior players.
