CENTRAL Governor Robert Agarobe says he has already resigned as the chief executive officer of Helifix Limited, the aviation company which he owned and managed before being elected.
Agarobe after being officially sworn in as governor at the provincial assembly at Konedobu in Port Moresby last week with the four open MPs, announced that he has resigned as the chief executive office of Helifix.
“I have made it clear during my campaign that I will resign as the  chief executive officer of Helifix if I am elected,” Agarobe told The National.
“I am humbled that the people of Central have trust and confidence in me.
“I now have to put my time and energy to serve the people.
“That is why I have already resigned as the chief executive officer of Helifix.
“I have handed it over to my wife to take care of the business.
“My wife and I started the business together so I have confidence in her to lead the company.
“This is not like other businesses where you have complicated systems and structures.
“We started it and the management is there.
“It is set up in a way to keep going itself.
“The management and the team are there and my wife Miku Agarobe will be the company’s chief executive officer to lead the team.”
