HIGHFLYING Air Niugini shot down the competition faourites Brian Bell in the Private Companies netball competition on Sunday at the Rita Flynn Courts in the premier division of the second matches of round one played in front of sizeable crowd.
Brian Bell’s Caroline Genaia, goal  shooter, and her teammates could not hold on to their attack brought on by their much superior opponents led by Stella Wakella, dominated the entire match to come out 20-16 victors at the final whistle.
The PX ladies started the competition on a high note over the last two weekends going down to their respective rivals, but victory yesterday now put them another level as a formidable force in the competition.
It was also another big upset in the premier division with competition hot favourites led by former PNG Pepes Julian Leka’s Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) going down to a much rejuvenated Fairdeal Liquors, 23-13.
Bank South Pacific One also continued their winning form with a draw last weekend against reigning premiers Westpac and registered a convincing 23-9 victory over Daltron on Sunday.
Their victory now sends an early warning to other teams in their category to pull go another gear as the competition gains momentum and the season progresses.
