AIR Niugini opened a new sales office yesterday at the Central Waigani Stop and Shop complex in Port Moresby.
The sales office at the Datec Building, Waigani, is now closed and relocated to the Stop and Shop complex.
Air Niugini managing director Alan Milne said the new sales facility was the airline’s flagship, paving the way for continuous and enhanced customer services.
Milne said the new model sales facility not only had Air Niugini staff waiting to serve customers at the counter, but also had online check-in facilities for customers to do online transactions.
“This is our newest and biggest domestic sales facility and this will be the model for our sales offices for Air Niugini” he said.
“This new facility is centrally located with sufficient parking space for customers.
“It is also close to bus stops and is a one-stop-shop where customers can do their shopping and other business and easily come straight in to do transactions quickly.”
Milne said the office currently had 15 staff members but was expected to increase to more than 20 with several domestic and international counters in the retail section and corporate sales.
The new sales office has been in operation for the last two weeks and was operating between 8am and 5pm. It will extend its operating hours from 8am to 8pm tomorrow to give the customers who are employed, the opportunity to buy tickets outside working hours.
