Speaker Job Pomat has welcomed new Central Bougainville MP Sam Akoitai into Parliament.
Pomat presented to Parliament the National Court Order EP 33 of 2017 dated April 13, 2018.
It sat as a Court of Disputed between Akoitai, Fr Simon Dumarinu and the Electoral Commission.
The court ordered that the results of the recount for Central Bougainville were correct and valid.
Pomat said pursuant to Section 212 of the Organic Law on National and Local Level Government Elections, Akoitai was duly elected as Central Bougainville MP.
