All prime ministers delivered

Letters

MEMBERS of Parliament will use their prerogative to decide on the prime minister on the floor of Parliament come vote of no-confidence (VoNC) day.
Either James Marape or Allan Bird will be given the role, depending on each leader’s performance and assessment based on their deliverables over the period each has demonstrated leadership.
Marape, Tari-Pori MP and Pangu Pati leader has discharged his leadership responsibilities.
Bird, the current East Sepik governor, speaks without fear or favour both for and against issues affecting the country with articulations in Parliament, for the sake of you and me, is contender for the number one post from the Opposition side.
Who to become the chief political head is determined by the MPs who are the representatives of each district in Papua New Guinea. Literally, it indicates that we all have a say in the election of the prime minister so need not bring criticisms and dispensable comments belittling our chief political heads. Instead, do make your observations only.
In fact, over the last 48 years given the monetary magnitudes and provisions in our Government budgets, our prime ministers have records enunciating today.
They all inputted something for you and me throughout the nation in terms of infrastructure, economics, works, education, health, transportation, agricultural engagements and list goes on.
The simple metaphor is: there was someone who cut down the thick bushes, trees and other shrubs in the forest and built fences, burning, digging the soil and flattened it ready for sowing seeds and he was told to leave.
Someone else came in and sowed the seeds on the prepared soil, looked after them and, prior to the harvesting, he/she was told to depart.
Somebody new gets into the garden and does the harvest and distributed to all his people and consumers, who eat and when satisfied, speak highly of their gardener. Others, after eating, were not satisfied and talk lowly of the gardener who had harvested only because they only think about consumption.
They forgot about the bush cutter and soil cultivator and the manager of the garden because they are no longer around.
This metaphor indicates that all our prime ministers have contributed in the development, not in separation on his or her own, but carried on the work of the previous government and their own policies to bring improvement and incorporate new development manifestos to extend.
