Conglomerates killing PNG

Letters

BLACK economy is a segment of a country’s economic activity that is derived from sources that fall outside of the country’s rules and regulations regarding commerce.
PNG is experiencing inflation and the Government must find alternative solutions to reduce it.
Those multinational corporations whose names have been with-held for security reasons have not complied with the laws of this nation.
I’ve seen that big corporations have powers to manipulate government systems, especially in third-world nations.
Foreign companies involved in multi-million-kina businesses must pay big taxes to the government.
Players in the black economy who used tactics to avoid paying tax must be held accountable by the IRC.
Economic crisis and inflation is the result of big foreign investors not paying taxes and the SME sector being dominated by Asians.
I want the Government, through the IRC, to remove the big players in the black economy.
Only then will the Government have enough money.
