Lessons learnt will hearten PM

Letters

I WATCHED the style of leadership displayed by Prime Minister James Marape including his policies, visions and decisions made over his term in office.
Some of his actions were uncalled for and were not in the best interest for the country and its people.
While some of his actions, work, decisions, undertaking and policies were ideal, best and beneficial for ordinary Papua New Guineans and our country as a whole.
With the saying “no one is perfect on planet Earth and everyone learn from mistake or mistakes”, we hope our PM has learnt more or enough lessons already and came to his senses and is in a better state of mind to right the wrongs.
It is now – more or less as an old saying, “a spot where someone got bitten by a snake, he never goes around that spot again. Or, he watches his step every time he tries to cross the spot he got bitten by the snake”. Interesting, and a fact – isn’t it?
The same for an average student who tries his utmost best and finally made it to the top 20 or 10.
When Ben Carson’s mother saw that her son got zero in a test, or only one or two answers right, she would be nice to Ben and say: “That is not too bad, you made a good attempt. I know you have the ability and believe you will do well next time.”
If Marape survives the VoNC, let’s hope he learnt all his mistakes so he would do the right things in his next term as PM.
