POLICE on Manus are looking for the men who broke into a businessman’s home at dawn last Friday and took a safe containing K400,000.
Manus police commander Chief Inspector David Yapu said the thieves struck between 2am and 4am at Ward Three in Lorengau town while the family was asleep.
He said the safe was taken to a beach where it was forced open.
Yapu said members of a Mobile Squad currently on Manus were helping in the investigation.
One suspect was being interrogated at the police station.
Yapu urged the people to assist police with information which could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
He said all information would be treated as confidential.
