THE expensive and time consuming court battle over the position of provincial administrator of Eastern Highlands is far from over. Solomon Tato and his legal team now yet lodged an appeal in the Supreme Court in Waigani regarding the restraining order granted by the National Court judge in Goroka. Have Tato’s lawyers properly interpreted the National Court order? It’s just a matter of weeks before he resumes duty if and when the judge presides over the substantive matter. For the good of the province, Tato should allow the court to proceed unhindered. He needs to be patient and not compromise his position.
