THE Divine Word University alumni association is urging former graduates to register to their new website to maintain relationship with their institution.
DWU alumnus Christopher Vagalia and chief executive officer of Agri-Tech Organic PNG Ltd who developed the website, said the website was for all the ex-students to register online and communicate. “We built an internet payment gateway into this platform that we will collect subscriptions from members far and wide both in PNG and other parts of the world,” Vagalia said.
He said they could keep a reliable data base for all members and information as well.
Vagalia said as alumni, this was one way they appreciated the university which had contributed to their lives and made them who they were.
“This is something we feel proud of and want to give back to the school and I believe this is a way forward,” he said.
Vagalia said the website was not only for university students but colleges, institutions post graduates and everyone that passed out of Divine Word University campuses.
He said unregistered members would have only limited access to site which was important for them to gain full membership to benefit from all information.
Vagalia said the website could be used for networking and expand business relationships, as well as keeping in touch with other members.
