Apec a catalyst

Letters

THE Apec Leaders’ Summit next month for Papua New Guinea can be the catalyst we need to get the economy racing ahead. It is the thing we have been waiting for since independence.
This meeting will be the focus of bilateral and multi-lateral agreements that will showcase Papua New Guinea’s unique biodiversity, cultures, raw agricultural commodities, timber, fisheries, gold, copper, gas and many of the other things that we have.
I take this opportunity to congratulate hard-working Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and his Cabinet ministers for their tireless efforts in ensuring this meeting is fruitful and beneficial to our eight million citizens.
